Job summary

fairlife, LLC, a Chicago-based nutrition company, seeks a Utility Technician SME to oversee all utility equipment at the Webster facility. You will support boilers, steam systems, HVAC, water systems, and electrical networks while helping plan continuous improvements and safety programs.

Requirements include 5+ years in utilities, two essential licenses, and strong mechanical/electrical skills. This nonexempt, days-to-nights role offers robust benefits and a challenging manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience with high pressure steam boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, water filtration and supply systems.
• Must possess 2nd Class Stationary Engineers License and R-2 Refrigeration License in good standing.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and Remote Monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of utility systems; document operational data and adjust controls as needed.
• Oversee Domestic & Process water systems, boilers, steam distribution, air systems, refrigeration and HVAC.
• Assist in developing a World Class Utilities Maintenance program and safety procedures.
• Support with repairs, spare parts inventory, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct sampling and testing of boiler feedwater, chilled water, chemical treatments, and compressed air.
