Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking an Industrial Utilities/HVAC-R Technician to service ammonia refrigeration, HVAC and utilities systems and participate in the Process Safety Management program.

You will join a factory Emergency Response team and support preventative maintenance duties, with opportunities for growth and certification. The role offers competitive starting pay, shift premiums, and benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R or related field experience or education
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
• RETA-CARO certification preferred or within first year of employment
• Able to work in hot and cold environments
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights
• Good communication and team collaboration
• Willing to obtain required certifications within allotted time

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair large HVAC/R equipment
• Manage glycol chillers and boilers
• Oversee steam boilers and chemistry control
• Maintain water systems and chemistry control
• Operate reverse osmosis, softeners, and filters
• Handle Glyco heat exchange and compressed air systems
• Operate Make Air Units and log equipment data

Position Summary

Industrial Utilities/HVAC-R Technicians are responsible for the service, troubleshooting and repair, and preventative maintenance of the ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC, and utilities systems. Participate in the Process Safety Management program and be a member of the factory Emergency Response team and HAZWOPER team.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing large HVAC/R equipment


• Process Glycol chillers and boilers


• Steam boilers and chemistry control


• Water Systems and chemistry control


• Reverse Osmosis System, softeners, filters


• Glyco heat exchange


• Compressed Air Systems


• Make Air Units


• Maintain equipment logs and reports utilizing computerized maintenance systems

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing preferred


• Minimum of 1 year experience or education in HVAC/R or related field preferred


• RETA-CARO certification is preferred


• If not RETA-CARO certified, certification will be required within first year of employment


• Company will provide course support for exam


• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments


• Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently


• Ability to work at heights


• Good communication skills and teamwork with all departments


• Must have basic computer skills

In addition to above, the ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals


• Ability to write routine repots and correspondence


• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or the organization

Pay:$35.64 per hour
