Mentor Technical Group (MTG) is seeking a supervisory engineering professional to manage manufacturing activities in a GMP-regulated environment. You will schedule work, review performance, and ensure documentation and procedures meet vendor and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities.

  • Manage materials, tools, and replacement parts as needed.
  • Interpret specifications and blueprints for templates and reference points.
  • Train staff in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques.
  • Ensure client operational documentation meets requirements.
  • Provide technical support to ensure regulatory compliance and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain customer relations and new business opportunities.
  • Attend meetings and support project leaders in strategic actions.

Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Performs all functions listed below with minimum or no supervision.
  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
  • Monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
  • Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
  • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
  • Conduct or arrange for workers training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Ensure the recordkeeping of documentation of client’s utilities equipment operations parameters are met.
  • Ensure that the utilities equipment have the necessary operating procedures according to the manufacturer's operation manual and/or recommendations.
  • Provide technical support and advice to assure that operational activities are performed in compliance with corporate/government policies and regulations in a cost-effective way and within the timelines established by the customer.
  • Exhibit a customer-oriented behavior, by clearly understanding customers’ needs and expectations, and anticipating possible barriers or obstacles that may impact the project(s) adversely and communicating these on a timely manner.
  • All documentation must be free of errors, controlled and well-organized.
  • Manage technical issues/problem appropriately and efficiently.
  • Guarantee top quality of services provided to client by reviewing work performed, documentation submitted, get hold of client feedback and monitoring project status vs. client requirements.
  • Issue Performance Review Report to employees under his/her supervision.
  • Create/develop customer relations and new business opportunities.
  • Promote excellent relationship with Mentor clients, encouraging an open dialog and trustful communication between both parties demonstrating a professional conduct at all times and proudly represent MTG at all levels and places.
  • Alerts management when problems are identified and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Must be a team player committed to developing and working in a quality environment.
  • Complies with MENTOR’s administrative requirements timely and consistently in areas such as: weekly reports, updating of CV’s, yearly updates of medical/training records, attendance to work, etc.
  • Attend Project Leaders/Managers meeting, as part of job position strategic commitments, and follow-up on action items discussed.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager, upper management or by the client.
Qualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills:
  • Associate degree in engineering, Electronics, Mechanic, Refrigeration and 7 to 12 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Science or related fields preferred. 5 to 10 years of related experience
  • Experience in GMP regulated manufacturing environment and supervisory role.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipment's, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, andoccasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
