City of Lakeport seeks a Utilities Superintendent to lead the water and wastewater operations, ensuring reliable service while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. The Utilities Superintendent leads the City's water and wastewater operations; ensuring reliable utility services while maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. Reporting to the Utilities Direct, the Superintendent oversees operations, maintenance, regulatory compliance, capital planning, budgeting, emergency response and supervision of utility staff. The position also serves as the City's Chief Operator for Water Treatment. Water Distribution and Wastewater Treatment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Education and/or Experience Associate’s degree in science preferred. Minimum of six years combined work experience in both the water and wastewater operations and maintenance field. Minimum of three years’ experience as a supervisor in the water and wastewater field.
