Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Utilities Equipment Repairer to maintain and repair utilities equipment and special-purpose support systems both on and off the battlefield. Duties include repairing electric motors, electrical equipment, gaskets and seals in watertight units, and maintaining gasoline engine and air conditioning systems.

Through the Army program you will earn while you learn with 10 weeks of Basic Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, plus tuition assistance

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair of utilities equipment and special‑purpose support systems.
• Inspect and repair electrical equipment and motors.
• Test and repair air conditioner electrical systems and refrigeration units.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair air conditioner electrical systems, air conditioner vapor systems, refrigeration unit electrical systems, portable heater fuel/electrical systems, fire extinguisher recharging systems and fire extinguishers/valves.
