Job summary

Lactalis USA is seeking an experienced Project Manager for capital expenditure initiatives in our manufacturing operations. You will lead cross-functional projects from inception through submittal, focusing on utility systems and HVAC, and will develop scopes, budgets and timelines.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, 5+ years in project management within manufacturing (food preferred), plus expertise in AutoCAD, Advanced Excel and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 5+ years' experience managing capital expenditure projects in manufacturing; food preferred.
• Heating, cooling & air systems expertise; optimization of these systems.
• Experience with energy-saving projects and carbon footprint reduction.
• Regulatory knowledge (OSHA, DEQ, PSM, PHA).

Responsibilities

• Audit manufacturing plants for utility areas and wastewater treatment.
• Inventory all equipment with specifications.
• Survey plant utility and WWPT needs.
• Evaluate installed systems capacity vs needs.
• Develop drawings, scopes of work, budgets and timelines for submittals.
• Source vendors; negotiate and acquire quotes for project investments.
• Lead projects and track costs within budget.
• Coordinate review meetings and report results to key stakeholders.
• Manage principles for effective project execution.
• Work cross-functionally with QA, Food Safety, Planning, Operations and Maintenance.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests for equipment.
• Lead and assist in the development of the annual capital budget.
• Travel may be required based on project needs.
