Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Irving, TX is seeking a Utilities Clerk to support the Produce Department and assist customers on the store floor. The role includes bagging groceries, carrying groceries when needed, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The Utilities Clerk will help with carts, price checks, go‑backs, check stand upkeep, and parking lot waste removal. Applicants should be able to lift up to 60 pounds and communicate in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense in following detailed but uninvolved instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

To assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department and assist customers on the store floor as needed.

The Utilities Clerk will properly bag groceries for customers when needed. If requested, they will carry out groceries for customers. The Utilities Clerk is responsible for the store maintenance to ensure the store is clean and safe at all times. They will maintain and retrieve store carts, run price checks, assist with go‑backs, assist with check stand upkeep, and remove waste from the parking area.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
