Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a proactive Utilities Clerk in Houston to assist Produce Department operations and serve customers on the shop floor. The role emphasizes bagging groceries, helping customers, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English in daily interaction with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Produce Department to ensure proper store upkeep and customer service.
• Bag groceries for customers and assist with carrying groceries when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including cart retrieval and removal of waste from the parking area.
• Run price checks, assist with go-backs and keep check stands tidy.
• Support with back-of-house duties as required to maintain fast-paced grocery operations.

The Opportunity

To assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department and assist customers on the store floor as needed. The Utilities Clerk will properly bag groceries for customers when needed. If requested, they will carry out groceries for customers. The Utilities Clerk is responsible for the store maintenance to ensure the store is clean and safe at all times. They will maintain and retrieve store carts, run price checks, assist with go-backs, assist with check stand upkeep, and remove waste from the parking area. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
