Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a capable NDE Level II UT Technician to operate in our GA plant environment. You will perform UT inspections in aerospace, construction and DoD contexts, ensuring compliance with ASNT-TC-1A/NAS 410 standards.

The role values aerospace experience and strong problem-solving, communication, and safety practices. Candidate must be able to lift and wear safety gear, work with forklifts nearby, and coordinate with craft teams.

Qualifications

• NDE Level II UT certification with 900 hours of experience.
• Experience or formal certification as NDE Level II per ASNT-TC-1A NAS 410.
• Aerospace experience is a major plus.

Description

Candidate must be flexible and possess ability to work in Shop environment for a variety of industries such as Aerospace, FAA, Construction, Oils & Gas (manufacturing) and DoD.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• In-house plant/shop atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and clients.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around other NDT inspection equipment and Forklifts moving parts around can cause elevated noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.

QA Documents

• Level II UT Technician (900hrs)
• The candidate must have experience or prior certification as an NDE Level II technician with adequate, documented experience hours as required by ASNT-TC-1A Standard or NAS 410
• Aerospace Experience is a major plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to conduct inspections.
