Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking a part-time Cybersecurity Architect for FRCS support. This on-site role covers Camp Lejeune and New River areas with 20 hours per week, within regular business hours. The position is contingent on contract award.

The candidate will lead RMF, ATO/ATC, develop policies aligned with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, DFIA, and USMC accreditation standards, and coordinate with IT and control systems teams to protect mission-critical FRCS infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Current Secret clearance required.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Fluent English (oral and written).
  • Master’s Degree or 20 years C&A/A&A experience.
  • Experience with USMC accreditations (ATO/ATC).
  • Experience writing cybersecurity policies for ICT/OT devices.
  • Proven track record with RMF, CNSSI 1253, and MCCAST 2.0.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cybersecurity architecture, RMF, and ATO/ATC for FRCS and ICT/OT environments.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, system security plans, and guidance.
  • Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and DISA STIG reviews; manage POAMs.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to integrate secure architecture and system accreditation.
  • Prepare white papers, briefs, and training materials for cybersecurity strategies.
  • Advise stakeholders on best practices, threats, and continuous monitoring.

Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Architect for the Facilities Related Control Systems (FRCS) Support Services contract. This part‑time, on‑site position is available at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station New River, and satellite locations near Camp Lejeune. Working 20 hours per week, Monday‑through‑Friday, within normal business hours (7:00 am to 5:00 pm). This position is contingent upon contract award.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the cybersecurity architecture, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Authority to Operate/Authority to Connect (ATO/ATC) processes for FRCS and ICT/OT environments, ensuring compliance with USMC cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, system security plans, security architectures, and technical guidance aligned with NIST SP 800-53, DoDI 8510.01, CNSSI 1253, DFIA, and Marine Corps accreditation standards.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability and risk analyses, compliance validations, and DISA STIG reviews while developing and managing POA&Ms to remediate identified cybersecurity findings.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity engineering activities with systems administrators, network engineers, and control systems specialists to integrate secure architecture, support system accreditation, and protect mission‑critical FRCS infrastructure.
  • Prepare white papers, technical briefs, training materials, standard operating procedures, and executive‑level documentation that communicate cybersecurity strategies, compliance requirements, and technical solutions for ICT/OT environments.
  • Advise Government stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices, emerging threats, secure system design, and continuous monitoring strategies to strengthen the security, resilience, and compliance of Marine Corps FRCS operations.
Qualifications
  • A current Secret clearance is required.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Oral and written English fluency.
  • State’s Driver’s License.
  • Master’s Degree or 20 years C&A/A&A experience.
  • Experience with USMC accreditations (ATO/ATC) for large architectures.
  • Experienced with writing custom Cybersecurity policies for ICT/OT (operational technology) devices and systems.
  • Expert in the USMC A&A process to include MCCAST 2.0, RMF, Defense-in-Depth Functional Implementation Architecture (DFIA), and Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253.
  • CNSSI 4011, 4012, 4015, 4016A (Required).
  • Experience creating/managing Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).
  • Experience with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
  • Experience interpreting/implementing standards and policies in accordance with National Institute of Standards (NIST) 800-53/DoDI 8510.01.
  • Experience with vulnerability/risk analysis.
  • Experience conducting compliance assessments/validations as well as conceptualizing and implementing security systems and architectures.
  • Expert in the creation and editing of White Papers, Briefs, Training Materials, and other documentation related to the technical solution developed at CLNC.
  • Professional Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
