Job description

Overview

This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

Role

As a UX Designer, you\'ll act as the lead experience and visual designer for several development teams, setting the direction for joyful design. You\'ll meet with end-users to understand their needs, research workflows, and observe our applications being used in context. You\'ll work with developers to design intuitive, beautiful applications with solid information architecture. Throughout the design process, you\'ll demonstrate ideas with sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead experience and visual design for multiple development teams, guiding design direction.
  • Engage with end-users to understand needs and workflows; observe application usage in context.
  • Collaborate with developers to design intuitive, well-structured applications and information architecture.
  • Iterate ideas with varying fidelities: sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Qualifications

  • Education or experience in user-centered design techniques

  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
