Job summary

Epic, based just outside Madison, Wisconsin, offers a User Experience Design Intern program designed to shape the healthcare software of tomorrow. You will collaborate with fellow interns and full-time designers and developers to craft user-centered applications across web, desktop, or mobile platforms.

You’ll be mentored from day one and take ownership of challenging, meaningful projects, gaining insight into user needs while contributing to Epic's mission to improve care.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in User Experience Design or related field
• Demonstrated academic success
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• Relocation to Madison, WI area for the internship period
• COVID-19 vaccination is required

Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

Spend your summer designing applications that will shape the future of healthcare. As a User Experience Design Intern at Epic, you’ll collaborate with fellow interns and full-time designers and developers in creating user-centered applications for the web, desktop, or mobile devices. You’ll be mentored by UXD professionals and take ownership of challenging, meaningful projects from day one. You’ll gain an understanding of your user’s needs and play a critical role in constructing how they interact with our newest applications.

We'll give you a lot to do, and we'll expect you to deliver something great.

• Working toward a BS/BA (or combined BS/MS) in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field
• Junior standing or greater and seeking full-time employment in the 2028 calendar year
• A history of academic success
