Used Vehicle Reconditioning Technician
Tired of working on the same make of vehicle every day? Wendle Motors is looking for an experienced Used Vehicle Reconditioning Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and prepare our pre-owned vehicles for sale. This is not a traditional OEM service-lane technician position. You'll work on many different makes and models, using your automotive experience and judgment to help determine what each vehicle needs to be safe, reliable, and ready for our customers. Wendle sets high standards for our reconditioning process to ensure only the best pre-owned vehicles are offered for sale. If you're a well-rounded technician who enjoys variety and likes seeing a vehicle move from inspection to frontline-ready, this may be a great fit.
Dealership, independent repair shop, fleet, rental, and other professional automotive experience may all be relevant. ASE certification is helpful but is not required for every experienced candidate.
Some technicians love becoming specialists in one manufacturer. Others love variety. In this position, you may work on a Ford pickup in the morning, a Toyota SUV after lunch, and finish the day diagnosing a Chevrolet, Subaru, Nissan, Honda, Jeep, or another make. There is no need to change manufacturers or become brand-specific to be successful in this role. Broad automotive knowledge is an advantage. This position may be especially appealing if you:
