Job summary

Kendall Auto Group is seeking a Used Vehicle Mechanic to join our Bend team. This full-time position offers top flat rate pay with opportunities across multiple brands, a large loyal customer base, and on-site support from a shop manager to ensure quality work.

Ideal candidates will have dealership or large independent shop experience, ability to work on both automatic and manual transmissions, and a valid driver license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Not entry level: candidates must have mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Valid driver license and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and identify work to be completed on various vehicles.
• Perform adjustments and calibrations; replenish fluids.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components; repair or replace parts.
• Use independent judgment to make decisions; document all work and hours per policy.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality of work and issue resolution.

This is not an entry level position. Candidates must have mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop. Must have ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. A valid driver license and good driving record are required.

Job duties will include inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work that needs to be completed on various vehicles. Performing adjustments and calibrations, replenishing fluids, disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, and repairing or replacing parts. Using independent judgment needed to make decisions, documenting all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies, and road testing all vehicles to ensure quality of work and issues resolution.

Work is performed indoors in a shop environment, tool usage includes mechanic's hand and power tools that produce significant vibration and force, standing and walking will be required for entire work shift in order to complete job duties. Pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling will be required frequently to access all parts of vehicles being worked on. Lifting as well as pushing and pulling weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds occasionally required.
