Job summary

Ed Voyles CDJR Marietta is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles to meet our quality and safety standards before sale. You will handle oil changes, alignments, and routine maintenance while ensuring accurate documentation and teamwork with service and sales staff.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to work on diverse makes and models, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably with used vehicle reconditioning.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform repairs on a wide variety of makes and models.
• ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections on used vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
• Complete vehicle reconditioning, including maintenance services and repairs.
• Perform oil changes, tire services, alignments, battery replacements, and other routine maintenance.
• Identify recommended repairs and document findings accurately.
• Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with the service and sales departments to meet inventory deadlines.
• Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify repairs.
