Used Car Manager

The Used Car Manager will be responsible for executing a process involving prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners, with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Call, follow up, and schedule appointments for customers to appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
  • Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
  • Interface with current used vehicle owners through appointments and dealership service drives to purchase their vehicles.
  • Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
  • Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures, and inputting data into the vehicle inventory management system.
  • Work with Sales Managers to build and propose purchase offers.
  • Introduce customers to the sales department for potential vehicle sales after purchase.
  • Review monthly goals with management to optimize purchasing strategies.
  • Manage vehicle pricing, display, holding costs, and inventory turnover.
  • Handle vehicle disposal and auction processes.

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Used Car Buyer role, desking in a dealership, or vehicle procurement in the automotive rental industry.
  • Excellent phone and communication skills.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Ability to meet production and quality standards.

Required:

  • Authorized to work in the USA.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment tests including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and possess a valid driver license.
