Job summary

Apple Chevrolet in Tinley Park, IL is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician with 3+ years of automotive repair experience to join our union shop. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair used vehicles to meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include performing multi-point inspections, servicing brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, HVAC, and reconditioning vehicles to dealership standards, maintaining repair orders, and adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience with used vehicle or dealership background.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using diagnostic scan tools and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point inspections on used vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete repairs and maintenance, including brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, and HVAC systems.
• Perform vehicle reconditioning to dealership standards.
• Conduct quality control inspections before vehicles are delivered.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
