Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is seeking an operator for its industrial wastewater pretreatment system. The role involves overseeing, operating, and maintaining complex treatment processes and auxiliary equipment to handle byproducts from processing activities.

You will take samples, perform tests, log results, and ensure safe, compliant operation. The position requires reliability, flexible hours, and prior industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and record meter and gauge readings; log data daily.
• Maintain records including logs, diaries, and chemical inventories.
• Report promptly to facility management if upset or exceedance occurs.
• Perform ground maintenance and housekeeping; others as needed.

Job Summary

This is a position that oversees, operates and maintains a complex industrial wastewater pretreatment system that contains a variety of wastewater treatment processes and auxiliary equipment for the processing and handling of industrial wastewater and generated industrial byproducts.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all wastewater pretreatment plant equipment and make necessary adjustments based on findings.
• Take periodic samples and perform and record the results of various tests to assess and monitor the condition of the system and determine optimal chemical and biological treatment.
• Maintain the efficiency of plant operations, including maintenance of equipment pumps, filters, and machinery, testing, quality control and record keeping procedures.
• Read and record meter and gauge readings.
• Maintain plant records, including operations logs, daily diaries, computer data entry and chemical inventories.
• Ensure timely reporting to facility management if an upset or exceedance occurs.
• Performs ground maintenance and housekeeping duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a waste treatment environment.

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
