Position Summary...
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department, delivering more of what members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets members' expectations.
What you'll do...
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operation, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show proficiency with Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service, and boost associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, product information, and training.
- Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain inventory accuracy. Ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote brand values by providing high-quality service, developing others, and fostering a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented environment. Understand and help overcome roadblocks, and support training initiatives.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart's culture, and hold yourself and others accountable. Support Walmart's goal of positive impact for all stakeholders.
