Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician in Jackson, MI to maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC systems across Walmart facilities. You’ll use hand tools, power tools, and digital devices to diagnose, repair, and document all activities while supporting Stores and Store teams.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years of commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance, EPA certification, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC skills and tools.
• Use the work order system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to diagnose issues and ensure safe operation.
• Complete training to operate equipment safely and comply with OSHA/EPA guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance

Inspecting, operating , or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.

Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.

Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and comfortable working at heights frequently
