Job summary

Walmart in Salt Lake City is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. You will maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using a variety of crafts and tools, responding to repairs and safety checks end-to-end.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 2 years of plumbing/electrical or related trade experience (or 4 years total), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, or related trades, or 4 years total trade experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR; no major moving violations in recent years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities and assets using multiple crafts and tools.
• Respond to repair work orders and emergency maintenance calls promptly.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to diagnose issues and document repairs.
• Complete required safety training to operate equipment safely.

Position Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets byutilizingmultiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting,operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements tooperateequipment and tools safely

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
