Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Milwaukee locations. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep facilities, equipment, and fixtures safe and fully functional.

Work under the local General Maintenance Manager to follow schedules and ensure high standards. The role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 lbs, and relevant trade experience or certification.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with ability to pass a motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills.

Position Requirements

18 years or older High School Diploma or equivalent Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time Can move up and down ladders frequently Comfortable working at heights frequently Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time Able to work in various temperatures. Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
