Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair facilities and equipment at its Rosemead store. You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment maintenance, document work orders, and respond to emergencies to keep operations smooth.

You will train Store Associates on equipment care, follow maintenance schedules, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 2 years experience, or 4 years total in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Licenses in related trades preferred.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.

Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.

Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.

No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
