Job summary

Walmart in Apple Valley, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and maintenance on Walmart equipment, trailers, tractors, and shop equipment following company guidelines.

You will create work orders, run diagnostics, identify parts, document findings, and ensure safety and compliance. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license and relevant maintenance experience, with benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

• Performs minor to intermediate inspections repairs and replacements following company guidelines on all Walmart equipment for example trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment and service vehicles by creating and processing work orders, performing minor diagnostics with technical and electronic equipment on the various Walmart equipment, identifying needed parts and possible solutions, conducting repairs and replacements, and documenting outcomes.
• Identifies warranty needs and enters accurate information into the maintenance system; creates and processes warranty claims to ensure proper credit; and adheres to warranty guidelines.
• Maintains safety and compliance by following DOT guidelines and ensuring proper fuel handling and sampling procedures.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.55 - $37.05* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
