Minimum Qualifications... Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications. Option 1: 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling. Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman. 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years’ Walmart store experience. Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely. Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and comfortable working at heights frequently
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications and other job-related factors. Eligible for bonus incentive
The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
