Walmart Inc. is seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician in Taylorsville, UT to maintain and repair Walmart facilities and assets across the stores and distribution network. The role requires a broad skill set in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or related trades, plus strong safety and tool-use experience.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
• 1+ years experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Can lift up to 75 lbs.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI/DWI/OUI convictions in last 5 years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial vehicle in last 3 years.
• No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial vehicle in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and hand/power tools.
• Utilize the work order system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
