Job summary

Walmart in Carson City, NV is seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. The role supports maintenance of Walmart facilities and assets, using multiple crafts and tools to keep stores running safely and efficiently.

You will respond to emergency calls, inspect equipment, and complete required training. Minimum qualifications include HS diploma, valid driver's license with clean MVR, 5 years in plumbing/electrical/related trades (or 7 years),

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver\'s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) report.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years\' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years\' experience in one of these trades.
• 1 year\'s experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Can lift up to 75 lbs.
• Can Move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting, operating , or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

Competitive Compensation:

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications and other job-related factors. Additional bonus available for this role is available and will be disclosed during the interview process (not included above).

Minimum Qualifications...

• Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications...

• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
