What you'll do...Role summary: The Senior Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Information Security, plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable infrastructure solutions. This position involves developing modular system architectures, automating workflows, and ensuring disaster recovery readiness while adhering to security standards and compliance requirements. The role requires expertise in infrastructure performance optimization, configuration management, and risk assessment to support business objectives. The engineer collaborates with stakeholders to deliver resilient, efficient, and secure systems that align with organizational goals and evolving technology landscapes.
The IS – Endpoint Security team at Walmart manages and secures a global endpoint fleet of millions of devices across stores, distribution centers, and corporate environments. The team develops software systems that enable fleet-wide visibility, automated remediation, compliance enforcement, and endpoint telemetry analysis. Operating at a large scale, the team prioritizes engineering quality and security outcomes. Members apply expertise in infrastructure security, scalability design, configuration management, disaster recovery, and automation to maintain robust and efficient systems that support Walmart’s global operations and safeguard critical technology assets.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 3years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC, Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 1 year’s experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
