Position Summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Stewardship to lead data governance and quality initiatives that ensure data integrity and usability across business domains. This role involves managing metadata and master data processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to align data practices with organizational goals. The position requires expertise in data quality frameworks, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data architecture. What you'll bring

• Extensive experience in data governance, data quality management, and data stewardship within complex enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to develop and implement data quality frameworks, metrics, and operational procedures.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, integration, metadata management, and master data management principles.
• Expertise in translating business requirements into data strategies and actionable solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams, mentoring associates, and driving cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with regulatory and ethical policies related to data privacy, security, and retention.
• Excellent project management skills with a focus on continuous improvement and business impact.

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related field and 5 years' experience in data stewardship, data management, database administration, data analytics, or related field.
• Option 2: 7 years' experience in data stewardship, data management, database administration, data analytics, or related field.
• Option 3: Master's degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related field and 3 years' experience in data stewardship, data management, database administration, data analytics, or related field.
• 1 year's supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data Management certification (for example, Certified Data Management Professional).
• Driving taxonomy development and application particularly with large and complex sets of information.
• Industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).
• Master's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture.
