Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Process Improvement Leader for the Woodland, PA distribution center to drive measurable performance improvements through the Walmart Performance System. You will lead loss elimination initiatives, deploy Lean Six Sigma tools, and partner with operations leaders to standardize best practices across the network.

You will mentor area managers, manage cross-functional improvement projects, and analyze KPIs to reduce variation while sustaining project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent in process improvement.
  • 2 years’ experience in process improvement or similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the application of process improvement tools and methods such as 5S and Six Sigma to eliminate losses.
  • Deliver KPI-driven results and create standard work to reduce process variation.
  • Manage project execution targeting top losses and sustain outcomes with area managers.
  • Support deployment of WPS methodologies and build capability across teams.
  • Provide coaching to area managers and associates to grow process improvement capability.

Position Summary

Position Summary...

This role sits at the center of process excellence within a Distribution Center, driving measurable performance improvements through the Walmart Performance System (WPS). You’ll lead loss elimination initiatives, deploy proven process improvement methodologies, and partner closely with operations leaders to standardize and scale best practices across the network.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the application of process improvement tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate losses within assigned functional areas.
  • Deliver functional area results through KPI analysis, loss elimination initiatives, and the creation of standard work to reduce process variation.
  • Manage execution of process improvement projects tied to top losses and support area managers in reviewing, responding to, and sustaining project outcomes.
  • Apply Network One Best Way playbooks and contribute to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams through project ideation and replication opportunities.
  • Support the tactical deployment and integration of WPS methodologies through gap analysis, loss profile development, and performance metric tracking.
  • Provide guidance and development support to area managers and associates, building capability in process improvement, KPI management, and project execution.

  • Are highly skilled in KPI analysis, loss identification, and translating data into actionable improvement plans.
  • Have experience leading cross‑functional improvement projects and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Demonstrate strong coaching and development skills, with the ability to build process improvement capability in others.
  • Thrive in fast‑paced operational settings and are comfortable managing multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $120,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
  • Stock
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or prior experience in Process Improvement OR 2 years’ of process improvement, or relevant work experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Co‑Op/Internship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with experience applying basic Lean/Continuous Improvement Tools.
