Job summary

Sam’s Club in Joplin, MO is seeking a Membership Associate to provide information on membership benefits, promote Walmart/Sam’s Club products and services, and assist members with purchases.

You will process membership upgrades and credit accounts, participate in sales events, and help meet membership goals while upholding safety and company policies. A focus on customer service and problem resolution is essential.

What you’ll do

Develops and supports Membership by providing information on Membership benefits and promoting the value of Company products and services. Process Membership upgrades and credit accounts, participate in sales and marketing events, and make efforts to meet Membership goals. Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, handling & disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management. Fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, pulling items from shelves, scanning items, wrapping and palletizing items ensuring accuracy of orders and invoices, securing items until Members arrive and following up on out‑of‑stock merchandise to meet Member needs. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; recommends ways to address improvement opportunities and adapts to change; learns from feedback. Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns and promoting Company products and services. Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
