Walmart in KEARNEY, NE is seeking a stores leader to guide and develop hourly associates, train staff, and implement store initiatives that align with OBW and company direction.
You will drive customer service excellence, manage budgeting and inventory flow, and apply data insights to achieve sales and shrink targets while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
What you’ll do… Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. TourtoTeach communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations using technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicates business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and supporting customer service initiatives such as community outreach. Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, develops action plans to correct deficiencies, and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates: hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, communicating consistently, and promoting a belonging mindset. Oversees and completes job‑related activities, maintains stakeholder relationships, supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifies and communicates goals, measures progress, addresses improvement opportunities, demonstrates adaptability, and fosters continuous learning.
