Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Logistics Area Manager in Williamsburg, VA to lead a team, manage staffing, schedules, and performance, and drive safety and cost efficiency across distribution operations.

You will analyze reports, develop leaders, and pursue continuous improvement in service levels and productivity while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. A strong background in logistics and people leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field and 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics environment with supervision; OR 1 year as Walmart Logistics Area Manager; OR 3 years in a similar role supervising, evaluating and developing managers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and implement the business plan, manage staffing and scheduling, assign duties and coordinate workloads.
• Monitor productivity and ensure training, quality, safety, and policy compliance.

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

• Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
