You will partner with procurement managers, suppliers, quality, operations, and cross‑functional teams to develop specifications, evaluate packaging options, support sourcing events, validate changes, and enable successful implementation at scale.

About the Team

The Global Procurement Packaging team helps drive value through supplier‑enabled innovation, clear technical requirements, standardizations, disciplined execution, and packaging solutions that support Walmart’s scale and supply chain complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define packaging, quality, testing, and sustainability requirements for sourcing events, supplier evaluations, and implementation plans.
  • Lead packaging cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
  • Develop fit‑for‑purpose packaging solutions that balance performance, manufacturability, compliance, sustainability, and cost.
  • Create, review, and maintain packaging specifications, standards, and test requirements.

Benefits & Compensation

Competitive base salary ranging from $70,000 to $130,000 per year, with performance‑based bonus awards and additional compensation such as annual or quarterly bonuses. Stock award opportunities are available for certain positions.

Health benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage. Financial benefits include 401(k), stock purchase plan, and company‑paid life insurance. Paid time off (PTO) includes sick leave, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting days. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and at least 2 years of experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field. Alternatively, at least 4 years of experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in data modeling, data analytics, data management, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
