Job summary

EY is seeking an intern for the People Consulting practice in Summer 2027. You will assess client challenges, benchmark against competitors, and guide clients through implementations and transformations. You’ll help engagement leaders gather data, identify risks, and support project management while learning how businesses operate.

Role requires in-person collaboration at client sites or EY offices, with travel as needed. Strong interest in consulting and solid academic foundation are expected.

Qualifications

• Be pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in human resources, human capital, labor relations, organizational design, business, industrial and organizational psychology, communications, economics or finance.
• Want to work in consulting demonstrated by relevant course work or interest.
• Understand that the expectation for this role is in person teaming, at a client site or in an EY office, on average 3 days a week depending on the needs of the engagement, project or practice area.
• Have access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
• Be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
• Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.

To qualify for the role, you must:

In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidates applying to the Government & Public Sector practice must:

• Have U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, within the designated time frame, which will be determined by the engagement requirements for a security clearance.

Ideally you:

• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
• Have collaborative problem-solving skills and a keen interest in technology to positively influence global and domestic business operations.
• Exhibit effective project management skills – managing a project plan, raising risks and adhering to a deadline are all tasks that will be encountered on the job.
• Are a purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning, a collaborative mindset and have a proven ability to innovate, adapt and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.
• Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and/or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.

• The hourly pay range for this job in the US is $35.63-$40.19 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
