Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Baytown, TX to support freight handling, pallet replenishment, and warehouse organization. You will operate power equipment, inspect pallets for damage, and maintain records while contributing to a safe, productive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
• Ensure freight quality by processing stray and damaged cases, inspecting pallets, shrink wrap and freight for damage, cutting shrink wrap as needed, and maintaining records/logs/forms.
• Replenish pallets of merchandise onto and from racks or docks using warehouse systems or instructions.
• Organize warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns, pallets storage, trailers, etc.
• Move, scan and handle freight manually or with power equipment.
• Provide basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., clean, inspect).

What you'll do

• Maintain merchandise supply by replenishing pallets of merchandise ontofrom racks or docks using warehouse systems or through verbal instructions
• Organize warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns eg pallet storage trailers upstackingdownstacking empty pallets and upstackingdownstacking freight
• Manage freight flow by moving scanning and handling freight manually andor with power equipment
• Provide basic maintenance to equipment eg clean inspect

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.05 - $24.55* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
