A leading company in retail is looking for a Team Leader in Arkansas. This role involves developing teams, providing exceptional customer service, and managing store operations. This role involves leading and developing teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Responsibilities include communicating and collaborating across all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. The position also entails introducing and leading change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance, and implementing business solutions. Demonstrating exceptional customer service standards and managing customer service initiatives are key, along with developing action plans to address deficiencies and improve processes to ensure a high-quality customer experience. The role drives financial performance and sales by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes. It includes supervising and mentoring associates, supporting staffing needs, and fostering a workplace culture of belonging. The position requires developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards. The candidate must build high-performing teams, embrace diversity, act with integrity, serve customers, and strive for excellence, supporting Walmart's mission and values. The hourly wage range is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential, with additional bonuses and possible regional pay zones.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be necessary. Associates must attend and complete all required training and assessments.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs. General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing, is preferred.
