Job summary

Walmart Transportation is seeking an Area Manager, Fleet Safety to lead fleet safety initiatives nationwide from the Midway area. You will support transportation offices with expertise in DOT regulations, driver training, and safety program implementation.

You will leverage data to identify root causes, develop safety protocols, and create dashboards for stakeholders, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or related field with 2 years in safety; or 4 years in traffic safety in supply chain/retail.
• 2 years’ experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM) in supply chain or transportation maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and driver training experience.

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or related area and 2 years’ experience in the field of safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
Option 2: 4 years’ experience in the field of traffic safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
2 years’ experience in continuous improvement methodologies (for example, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)) within supply chain or transportation maintenance environments.
