Job summary

R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a Patient Registration Representative in Austin, TX, to be the first contact for patients and ensure fast, compassionate access to care. This frontline role supports patient experience and revenue cycle performance within a technology-driven healthcare environment.

You will work overnight shifts, handle check-in across systems, and collaborate with care teams to maintain smooth patient flow. Training is provided, and growth within R1 is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service experience, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly with high attention to detail.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language preferred (but not required).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and vaccination requirements.

• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environments
• Build trust with patients during moments when they may be ill, anxious, confused, or overwhelmed
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays, and provide cost estimates when applicable
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.12 - $19.50 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
