Ll Oefentherapie in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Data Center Support Lead responsible for identifying upgrade opportunities, validating cabling, and coordinating ticketing workflows. You will mentor technicians, train advanced repair techniques, and ensure adherence to SOPs and MOPs for data center change control.
The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a solid background in server hardware and DC operations, with willingness to travel and work flexible shifts.
Identifies opportunities for others to replace or upgrade server components. Validates cabling, checking network environment build and connectivity is established. Monitors and assigns work in ticketing environment, mentoring less experienced technicians or implementing technical solutions. Trains advance fix and repair techniques that align with corporate objectives and adheres to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and method of procedures (MOPs) for operational Data Center Change Control processes. Acts as a technical liaison for technical and non-technical teams, providing subject matter expertise to identify and resolve resiliency, reliability, and availability risks.
Note: This is a 24/7/365 position on-site and includes day/night shift, weekend and holiday work with occasional travel based on business requirements. This position will also require consent to the processing of biometric data for identity verification and access control.
Education and/or Experience:
5 years of experience in client-facing, direct customer support and service, data center, or related field experience
OR
High School Diploma, General Educational Development, or equivalent AND 4 years of experience in client-facing, direct customer support and service, data center, or related field experience
OR
Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Center Operations or related field AND 3 years of experience in client-facing, direct customer support and service, data center, or related field experience.
Same as prior level plus;
Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring on complex projects.
Incident Management and Response: Demonstrated ability to respond to and resolve incidents quickly to maintain business continuity.
Cross-Functional/Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and regions to achieve shared business goals.
3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, data center services, or server administration.
5 years of experience in client-facing, direct customer support and service, data center, or related field experience
