Point72 Asset Management, L.P. is looking for a Macro Analyst in Market Intelligence to work with alternative data and develop macro insights for rates and FX. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver analyses to investment professionals for informing research decisions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or advanced degree with demonstrated academic success.
• 1–5 years of macro/economics/investment research or consulting experience.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python; able to participate in a live technical screen.
• Experience with modelling and analysing time series data as part of macroeconomic or fundamental research.
• A passion for finance, research, and using data to solve problems.
• Comfort with analysing novel data and explaining concepts to non-technical partners.
• Strong organizational skills, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to operate productively in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret alternative data to develop subject-matter expertise on key themes and KPIs.
• Produce research for internal consumption across reports, verbal updates, data feeds, and visualizations.
• Interact directly with investment professionals to learn the macro investment process and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Data Sourcing, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Compliance to source and evaluate data assets.
