Responsibilities
- Serve as a critical senior member of the data engineering team, designing and implementing distributed analysis capabilities for diverse and complex datasets
- Apply deep knowledge of algorithms and data structures to continuously improve software quality and drive innovation
- Build and maintain data-intensive APIs using RESTful architectural principles
- Implement stream processing solutions using Apache Kafka to handle real-time data flows

Experience
- Minimum 7 years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Go programming language

- Proven track record working with containerized applications using Docker or similar platforms
- Experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with large-scale database data modeling in relational or NoSQL environments
Qualifications
- Protocol buffers and gRPC experience preferred
- Google Cloud Platform, Apache Beam, Google Cloud Dataflow, or Kubernetes experience highly desirable
- Background in scientific datasets or quantitative science applications to business problems is a plus
