Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a Product Controller for the U.S. Fixed Income businesses under the direction of the Associate Director, Product Control.

You will own daily P&L and PAA reporting, full balance sheet and income statement line management across desks including MBS, Treasuries, Repos, Agencies, Corporates, IRS, Bond Futures, and CDX. The role requires reviewing fluctuations, ensuring correct GL postings, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as risk, operations and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5–7 years in financial services industry.
  • CFA/CPA and/or Series 99/Series 7 a plus.
  • Prior experience with Fixed Income products is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily P&L and PAA reporting for various trading desks within U.S. Fixed Income.
  • Review large fluctuations daily and escalate to management.
  • Oversee Front-Office to Back-Office reconciliations.
  • Develop understanding of G/L and settlement systems.
  • Ensure correct bookings in the general ledger and proper product setup.
  • Coordinate with risk, operations and other support groups; pursue AI-driven improvements.
