Job Overview

As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you'll develop and grow your own practice, supported by branch associates, a home‑office team and other regional financial advisors.

You’ll benefit from the experience that comes from over 100 years of history.

We’re proud to have more offices in the U.S. and Canada than any other investment firm, serving over eight million clients.

Our financial advisors are a valued part of our firm, and we credit much of our success to their unique experiences and professional backgrounds.

We value an inclusive environment where everyone's different viewpoints help achieve results.

Edward Jones is built to help you positively impact clients' lives, helping them achieve their long‑term financial goals as you make a difference in your community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (e.g., residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).
  • Deeply understand clients' and prospective clients' needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
  • Create a highly engaging environment in the branch of mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.
  • As an associate, complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities, as well as required training to maintain registrations and licenses in good standing.
  • Have a firm‑provided branch office in the community.
  • Provide client support to lighten the load so you can focus on clients.
  • Count on a support network that extends from your client support team office to your region to the home office – you work independently but will have a team of thousands backing you every step of the way.
Benefits
  • Medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (e.g., accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life and basic AD&D coverage.
  • Income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to financial advisors.
  • 401(k) retirement plan and tax‑advantaged accounts: health savings account and flexible spending account.
  • Flexibility in schedule and eligibility for paid sick leave and paid time off where required.
  • Potential bonuses, profit sharing, paid medical and parental leave (for eligible advisors), and participation in the firm's Travel Award Program.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • For more information on the benefits available to financial advisors, please visit our benefits page.
Earn Salary, Commissions, New Asset Compensation
  • No ceiling to your earning potential and growth – your compensation is tied to the effort you put in.
  • A multi‑facet compensation package that also includes opportunities for profitability bonuses, profit sharing, and incentive travel.
  • Flexibility to balance your personal and professional lives.
