Job summary

VERSYS (Verified Systems) is seeking a seasoned Mission Critical Project Manager to lead data center projects across the United States. You’ll own project execution from planning through turnover, coordinating with field leads, clients, vendors, and internal support teams.

Key responsibilities include managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality, while ensuring turnover documentation and client satisfaction. A strong PM background in mission-critical environments is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience leading complex MEP/electrical/controls/commissioning-heavy scopes on fast-track projects.
• PM credentials such as PMP are a strong asset.

Responsibilities

This roleis responsible for
project execution, cost, risk, and client outcomesfrom early planning through turnover and closeout.

Whatyou’llown

You’lllead Data Center and Advanced Technology projects, working closely with field leads, clients, vendors, and internal support teams. Key responsibilities include:

Project leadership & execution

• Lead overall project execution: scope, schedule, risk, quality, and stakeholder coordination
• Maintain a complete, detailed understanding of project scope and contract requirements
• Drive jobsite readiness, daily priorities, and constraint removal with field leadership
• Ensure a strong turnover process: documentation, punch/deficiency closure, and client handover support

Team leadership

• Lead and support project team members (project engineers, coordinators, and site leadership)
• Mentor, coach, and develop project engineers for fast-paced growth
• Set expectations, build morale, and create a high-accountability / high-support culture

Project controls & financial performance

• Own project controls: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, billings, collections, change management, and cash flow
• Deliveraccuratemonthly status reporting (schedule, cost, risks, and key milestones)
• Hold accountability for project completion, financial outcomes, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction

Planning & scheduling

• Lead planning and scheduling activities;coordinatesequencing across trades and vendors
• Manage schedule updates, look-aheads, and milestone tracking to keep teams aligned and moving

Whatwe’relooking for

We’relooking for a people-first, adaptable leader who can drive results in a fast-moving environment.

• 5+ yearsof commercial construction project management experience (mission critical / data center experience is a strong asset)
• Experience leading complexMEP / electrical / controls / commissioning-heavyscopes on fast-track projects (typically 5–10+ years total experience is ideal)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldis an asset—equivalent experience and/or a strong trade/technical background (electrical, mechanical, I&C/BAS) will be considered
• PM credentials such asPMPare a strong asset
• Proven ability to manageschedule, budget, subcontractors, procurement, RFIs/submittals, change management, and client communicationin high-pressure environments
• Strong understanding of building processes, systems, and project delivery fundamentals, includingQA/QC, safety, and turnover/closeout documentation
• Demonstrated capability in cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and project financial controls
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office and common project tools (PM software, cost management/accounting software, scheduling software)
• Excellent communication and listening skills; able to resolve complex issues calmly and effectively
• Proven ability to build team morale and lead through accountability and support
• Strong work ethic and a practical, “get it done” mindset
