Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician in Hammond, LA. This full-time, non-exempt role supports urology procedures, sets up laser equipment, and assists the Urologist in the OR while maintaining schedules and logs.

Qualified candidates have a 2-year degree and OR experience, with preference for urology and Holmium laser experience, plus knowledge of sterilization protocols. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or similar background preferred.
• Prior OR experience preferred.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Holmium Laser utilization for Urology procedures a plus.
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with Laser protocols.
• Set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedures.
• Assist Urologist in ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes before start of procedures.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule and start times.
