Overview
The Department of Urology is seeking an exceptional candidate with research experience for a non‑tenure research track assistant professor position. The selected individual will be a faculty member in the Department of Urology and will be engaged in both methodological and collaborative research with existing faculty, have a commitment to team science, and possess effective oral and written communication skills.
Candidates Should Have The Ability To
- Build and develop an innovative program of research.
- Obtain external funding.
- Represent the Department and the University at professional meetings locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Publish seminal research findings in refereed, high‑impact journals, and book chapters.
- Collaborate with other faculty to obtain research funding for multi‑disciplinary research.
- Assist in the development of strategic partnerships with departments, centers, and institutes at the University.
Qualifications
- PhD degree from an accredited university.
- Candidates must possess a doctorate degree and should be emerging scholars with evidence of a growing body of outstanding scholarship.
- Effective oral and written communication skills including a significant publication record in peer‑reviewed publications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead innovative research projects to successful conclusions.
- Evidence of securing and sustaining extramural funding.
- Expected to develop and obtain externally funded, independent research.
