Job summary

UF Health Regional Physicians in Ocala, Florida, seeks a Urologist to join a patient-centered group delivering high-quality clinical care at UF Health Regional Network sites.

You will provide full-scope urology services, collaborate with nurses, clerical staff and UF Faculty, review tests, prescribe treatments, coordinate care, and participate in quality improvement and education programs toward better patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes plus four years of experience.
• Residency completion may substitute for the required experience.
• Preferred: Florida licensure and Federal DEA certification.
• Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
• Board certification in the appropriate subspecialty.
• Completion of an accredited residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provides full scope of clinical care including diagnosis, treatment, and health maintenance.
• Works with nursing, clerical, and advanced practice providers and UF Faculty.
• Reviews lab, x-ray, CT, and other reports and follows up promptly.
• Prescribes medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Coordinates patient care and refers to specialists as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement, meetings, and protocol updates.
• Supports health promotion and education programs when appropriate.
