Ackerman Urology, in partnership with HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, seeks a board-certified Urologist to join a collaborative, procedure-heavy team. You will lead urologic surgeries and coordinate urgent consults within a busy practice.

Requirements include an MD, accredited urology residency, and an unrestricted Florida license. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform urologic surgeries and procedures in the outpatient and inpatient operating room setting.

• Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient and inpatient surgical practice.

• Educate patients regarding procedures, risks, and recovery.

• Coordinate urgent consults and triage situations as needed.

Qualified Candidates:

• Medical school diploma and successful completion of an accredited internship and urology residency program.

• Current, unrestricted Florida medical license.

• Completion of accredited urology residency program (current residents encouraged to apply)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with OR teams and multidisciplinary medical staff.

• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and participate in call coverage as needed.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience as a urologist in a surgical practice.

• A strong background in high-volume OR, procedural, and robotic surgical performance, along with an interest in helping build and grow a busy surgical practice.

• Comfortable managing post-operative patient recovery in an outpatient, inpatient, or hospital-based settings.

• Familiarity with practice-specific workflows and facility-based safety protocols.
