Job summary

VA Fargo Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant for Urology to support the urology team as an extension of the supervising physician. The PA will perform history and physical exams, order tests, and assist in inpatient rounds under physician direction.

The role emphasizes patient education, documentation in CPRS, and adherence to safety and infection control standards within a Whole Health approach for Veterans' care.

Qualifications

• Assist in history and physical exams and follow-up care.
• Order diagnostic tests and consultations as directed by supervising physician.
• Enter progress notes in CPRS and maintain safety of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Accompany Urologist on daily rounds of inpatients.
• Write discharge orders under the direction of the Urologist.
• Provide patient and family education and counseling.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and disaster preparedness.
• Standard work schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm.
